Privacy notice
Your privacy is important to us, and we take it seriously. Please read this privacy and data-consent policy and let us know if you have any questions at info@halfcycle.org.
Information we collect
Bug reports
What is collected: A bug report may include your email address, the name and version of the software, the device firmware version, and a portion of the device log.
Sending a debug report requires a deliberate action. You send it from your own email app, and you can review the information before sharing it. We do not ask for extra consent because a bug report sent by email is a legitimate request for support.
How it is used: We use the information in the report to provide customer support and to improve the quality of our applications and services.
Data retention: Conversations related to a bug are kept for the lifetime of the app, unless you ask us to delete them.
Crash reports
What is collected: If an app closes unexpectedly, it may send us an anonymous crash report. That report includes the application name and version, a log, and the device firmware version. It does not include information that can identify you.
How it is used: We use crash reports to improve the stability of our apps and services.
Third parties: We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to store and analyze crash reports.
Data retention: Crash reports are kept for the lifetime of the application, or until the third-party provider ends the service.
Usage analytics
What is collected: Analytics data is anonymous and cannot be traced back to an individual. We collect app usage data and the occurrence of certain in-app events.
How it is used: Analytics help us understand how people use our apps and how we can improve them.
Third parties: Google Firebase.
Data retention: Usage analytics for an app are kept for the lifetime of that application, or until the third-party provider ends the service.
Advertisements
What is collected and how it is used: We use only your device advertising ID and coarse, city-level location to serve ads through a digital ad provider. We do not store advertising data on our own systems.
Third parties: AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google. Place of processing: United States. Please read Google’s overview of how it uses information from sites and apps that use its services.
How to modify or delete the information: See Google’s retention policy.
How to opt out of future personal data collection: To opt out of ads completely, you need a paid version of the app where one is offered.
Do we disclose information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer personally identifiable information to outside parties. This does not include trusted third parties who help us operate our services, run our business, or serve you, provided they agree to keep that information confidential. We may also release information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our policies, or protect the rights, property, or safety of HalfCycle or others.
